In this only 2 members can play at a time. So we will be opening 3 competition at a time with different category. Like black & white, Color Orange, Landscape, Latest Shot etc etc. The competition will remain open for 5 days.

The theme of next competition will be decided by the winner(member) of the previous competition he participated in.

Task for members:

ACCEPT A CHALLENGE

Look for a discussion with only one member's name in the title. Open the discussion to see what's been posted. If you have something along a similar theme or something that can be linked anyways with the theme, post it there. Challengers can put only one Photo each and then voting begins. Remember to number your pictures please.

VOTE / POLL

Look for a discussion with VOTING in the title, and vote for your favorite photo. You can poll in all the open competition. No, you can't poll in your own competition.

We are going to keep the Poll as a voting media in the competion so that voting can be anonymous.


START A COMPETITION

Look for an open duel (discussion with just "COMPETITION#XXX" in the title). Open the thread and post a picture, then follow the instructions above. Winner will post the new competition theme in the current competition as a Post and Admin will start the new competition likewise.

Voting will end after 7 votes or after 5 days. Then anyone can count the votes and announce the winner at the end of the discussion. The winning picture can then be posted on a seprate Topic name “Competition for Forthnight Picture”. Then winners will Participate in a final Forthnight Competition which will be a photo of the forthnight.

IN CASE OF A TIE

In worst case if the competition goes for 5 days and 7 votes are not completed in that particular topic and both pictures got equal votes then we will open a polling for one more day and for only 3 Polls so person who gets 2 votes will be the winner.

Once a photo wins, it can't be entered in another competition.

OPEN This means the challenge has not reached the required maximum of 3 photos. You may now enter your photo. We request members, be sure to vote in all challenges running. This keeps the competition and motivation moving.

VOTE:

This means the challenge has reached the maximum of 3 photos and voting is underway.

WINNER

This means the voting is over, and the winner of that challenge has been determined. We will wait for first 7 votes or 5 days to decide the winner.


VOTING

Each photo will be numbered. All you have to do is vote for the photo you think is the best! Members may vote in challenges they are entered in, but may not vote for themselves.

We are going to keep the Poll as a voting media in the competion so that voting can be anonymous.

WINNING A COMPETITION

The winner is the first person to receive 7 votes [except as noted] OR winning in the period of 5 days. After the winning photo is decided this photo will be pasted in Winners Topic and then 3 Pics will compete again for the photo of the fortnight.

Winning photos are no longer eligible to be entered into challenges.


NUMBERED CHALLENGES

Challenges are opened by Admin/Mods only

Once a numbered challenge has been opened the first challenger may name the theme with the exception of challenge 3 which is reserved for Admin/Mod Choice. Please suggest a theme that is broad enough to entice other members to post in the challenge.

This theme is open to Admin/Mod discretion and may be changed in order to broaden the theme or if no other entries are made after an extended period.

If you are at a loss to name the theme for your photo you may post the photo simply with the theme "Second Post Chooses" leaving it up to the second Poster to arrive at a theme.

Photos should fit the theme of the Challenge

In the interest of fair play you may not change an entered photo once it has been entered unless asked to do so by an Admin/Mod.

You may only be entered in 2 challenges at one time (excluding "specials"). If you are entered in 2 and want to enter another, you must wait for one of the challenges to be closed.

The fortnight Challenges are excluded from this rule. If it loses a challenge, you may post that photo in a new challenge.

Do not vote until the challenge has 3 photos in it.

Challenge 4 is an upgrade challenge open to any photo that previously won .

COMPETITION TYPE 5:



RULES:

1. Put in a theme (for a start the admin- like night shots, action, sunset, worms eyeview, rain etc etc etc endless possibility)
the one who puts in the theme explains it a bit and contest starts for a week.

2. Three entries per person maybe 2 or 1.

2a. No comments on the thread till contest ends

2b. The one who gave the theme is the judge...no votes..he decides on the winner..with his critique (that will be better)

2c. The winner has the perogative of putting up the challenge for the next two weeks..and it carries on that way. If the winner does not do it..then second runner up can.

This will ensure that it runs for two weeks, shooting on a theme can be a tremendous learning experience as you need to aligh your thought to a theme not just random click. creativity can fly.

VOTE:
Winner of the previous competition will judge the winner of this competition and give the explanation why he likes that particular photo. So winning Photo will be the photo of the fortnigh.
